I love volunteering because I get to see the impact I make on the residents. Me just being there and having a chat seems to light up their world and give them a opportunity to tell their life story and hear mine or just have a bit of fun! It also builds my confidence up and allows me to grasp more long-lasting experience for life and meet some fantastic people who I would not have met without volunteering. It is a lot of fun putting a smile on people’s faces and the highlight of my week.
