Hi, my name is Julie and I have been volunteering for about 4 months.

After retiring from full time work I found myself with some spare time, I had thought about volunteering for a while so made some enquiries and got a placement at a Care Home. Well I can honestly say that I’m loving it, I spend time with the residents doing various crafts,  quizzes, sometimes painting the ladies nails and spending time chatting to them. It’s been lovely getting to know them and I feel that my presence there is a useful contribution to their overall experience.
